Though we hit a few road blocks along the way, both houses have made great progress. Journey Church, you should be so proud of this team. And while we know building homes is important, and we're all happy to contribute, to get our hands dirty and blistered for it, it was playing the children today that stuck out.
We had the works: a beauty salon, soccer games, toys, lots and lots of capuches, candy, games...Friends, I wish you could have been there. Christ was in those children's smiles. Being a photographer, having the ability to stand back and be a spectator, I was overwhelmed with the love of Christ Jesus as I watched my church family love on these poor, filthy children. Despite their condition, hugs were given, kisses were planted and feet were washed. Again, the love of Christ was visually displayed before me while I watched children covered in dirt and muck be washed cleaned and then spoiled rotten.
As much as i hope you enjoy the following photo's, they do not and cannot give this experience near the justice it deserves.
